Ambassadors to the Environment

Happy Earth Day!
In celebration of Earth Day, the boys school participated in a service project picking up trash at the gorgeous Flemming Beach. It was a beautiful day and they really learned a lot about conservation and being responsible. At the end of the day, they were given certificates for being Ambassadors to the Environment and given a plant to grow. It was a fun day!

Hana

A couple times a year, we drive up to Hana. It is such a gorgeous drive with so many waterfalls, gardens, caves, beaches, etc to explore along the way. Here are a few of our favorite stops.

Twin Falls

We actually didn't hike all the way back to twin falls. This bottom pool is the most fun one there with a perfect jumping spot and a really fun rope swing.

I actually cant believe I let Chase climb this in slippery, wet shoes. The boy had no fear and just loves to jump off of things - just like his dad!

You can't see it but this is Chase on the rope swing.

Keanae

A picture perfect little Hawaiian village with the BEST banana bread. I'm SURE it's not on the low carb diet but I had to have some. The kids opted for Shaved Ice.

Black Sand Beach

We actually didn't even go down to black sand beach. Instead we hike through the lava tubes to this freezing cold cave. The light behind Geoff and Chase is someone exploring back into the cave with a flashlight. Caden decided to brave the cave after Geoff and Chase went back in. I could not believe that he swam back into the pitch black by himself! I was so scared because I couldn't see where they all were so I was relieved to have them all come back in one piece.

The Seven Sacred Pools

The drive ends here. It was so pretty but Geoff and Chase got busted for jumping here.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter in Hawaii. We really missed being with Geoff's family in Utah, but had a fun-filled day here. Our Easter started at 5:45 am, courtesy of Chase. The boys all loved tearing through their baskets.

Then we had a family Egg Hunt in front of our condo.

Next, onto the Grand Wailea for a yummy Easter Brunch.

Caden LOVES decorating sugar cookies!

The hotel had a huge party with carnival style games, slides, bounce houses, arts and crafts, candy, pictures with the Easter bunny, etc. The kids had an absolute blast!

Last, the hotel egg hunt. It was complete chaos and over within 30 seconds!

We ended the day on the beach with some of our candy and new toys. Now, if I could only get Crew to go to bed.......He is having a little trouble coming off of his sugar high!

We love and miss you all ..... Happy Easter!

Citizen of the Week

A great end to a great first week...

The boys started their new school this week and both of them love it. They have already made some great friends. At Fridays assembly, Caden received a "Citizen of the Week" award. He was stone faced the entire time! Wouldn't even look at me or crack a smile!

One of their playgrounds - what a view!
