Keiki Nalu - for Olivia

The Keiki Nalu is our favorite competition of the whole year. It's kids only - 12 and under. This year all monies raised went to support Olivia, a little girl with brain cancer. It sure puts everything in perspective.

Caden(black shirt) and Sam (orange shirt) always end up in the finals together. On the paddle out Sam looked over at Caden and said "oh no - you always get 1st and I always get 3rd". Ironically, this was the case again this year.

Caden pulled a double 360 on this wave, drop knee, and finished surfing his board. It was the longest wave I saw anyone on.

The Champ!

Last Dance

Chase had a great time at this dance! The prefect way to close the year before summer. I soooo tried to get the girls to take pictures with the boys. They weren't havin it.

Tyler, Tristan, and Chase

I LOVE this look. He was mortified that I came in the dance to take pictures. After this one, I promptly left.

Crew's Graduation

My handsome man graduated preschool! He had a rough start 2 years ago, crying all the time, begging not to go, but ended as a true leader of him class. He is such a good kid!

Caden's Party

I told Caden he could do anything he wanted for his 10th birthday and, of course, in true Caden fashion, he just wanted a casual day at the beach with his friends. I love him.

Caden 10

I cannot believe Caden is double digits! Here's a look at his first 10 years.
Honestly, the best baby EVER! I had to time his feedings because he NEVER Cried!
Everyone's favorite baby! His smile, laugh, and dimples are irresistable.

By 2, he loved all sports and was active ALL day long!

A fearless 3 year old! He jumped off of everything - including big cliffs at Lake Powell.

At 4, he showed off his soccer skills and showed us all what a sweet big brother he would be.

5 years old, his athletic skills continued to grow. He could ride his bike anywhere and kicked but in a mile race at BYU.

At 6 we moved to Hawaii. We were so impressed with how easily Caden adjusted. We really started to see how confident he is and that he can make friends and be happy anywhere.

7 years old started his surf career. He sure took to the sport quickly and naturally.

The year he was baptized, but he has always been my angel baby.

9 was a rough year! Broken arm through the growth plate, baseball to the face causing numerous procedures to his front tooth, stitches to the head. Active, active boy!

And now, he is fun, sweet, active, loving, compassionate, loyal, honest, fair, athletic. We sure do love him!

Mother's Day

So lucky that these three are mine! Mother's Day at Swan Court

Kauai

The Cabin

Our cabin was right on the river, which was perfect for fishing, paddling, as plain good old boy fun!

Surf

The main point of the trip was to surf. They all tore it up! One day, they got to surf with Laird Hamilton!

Hiking

The Kalalau trail is beautiful! Over 8 miles of tough hiking. Crew was such a trooper!

Hanalei Pier

This kept Crew busy for hours while the boys were surfing the bay.
