Ali

Everyone deserves to have a sibling like Ali,
But I'm the lucky one who got her!
Happy Birthday, Sissy!
I can't wait to see you on Monday!

41

So they say "age is just a number".
In Geoff's case, this is actually true.
Happy Birthday, Sassy!

Oh, Gayle!

I know you've all heard the story. Here are a couple of pics. But for documentation purposes, I'll give a quick summary of the incident.
Every summer Chase flies to California, by himself, to be spoiled rotten by my mom and other family members. Well, on his very first morning there he was working on a project and needed glue. My mom's gorilla glue was hard so she thought she would heat it in the microwave real quick to soften it. When she pulled it out it exploded all over her arms (thank goodness it wasn't her face). She couldn't get the boiling glue off so it continued to burn through several layers of skin. Her neighbor rushed her to the emergency room. After a couple hours there, she was transfered to the UC Davis ICU Burn Center where she remained for the next few days. Luckily, my sister lives close and was able to get Chase. Caden and I flew to California to be with Chase and to care for my mom. Chase was scared, sad, disappointed, just a mess. It took us a couple of days to get him out of his funk, get mom home from the hospital, and to start having a little fun. But it was still great to see everyone!
I'm pleased to announce that Gayle is healing great and will have minimal scaring!

Oahu

Wow! Time to get caught up on some of our summer excursions. In July, we went to Oahu for 10 days. Shopping, dinners, beach, zoo, Dave and Busters, Chuck E Cheese, Luau, etc. - we lived it up.
The Honolulu Zoo is actually pretty cool - or maybe it just seems cool cause we don't have a zoo on Maui. ;)

When we told Crew that we were going to Oahu he was SO excited. We asked him what he was most excited to do and he said "the crooked balance beam on the beach". Oh, the simple pleasures in life.

Feeding the fish at the Marriott Beach Villas in Koolina.

We went to the Luau in Koolina. The pre-show activities were really cool, dinner and show were just ok. Typical luau.

The Jeppsons were in Oahu the last 2 days we were there for a Rugby match for Joe. Crew and Porter above, Liz below on the verge of a meltdown after following a concussed Joe Who was confused how to get back to the hotel. Love this picture - redbull, donuts, and kids hanging all over her!

Shave Ice - always a favorite!

Crew Surfing

Seriously, just maybe the cutest thing I've ever seen. Crew is so dang cute and actually a really good surfer!

Poi Bowl

Last month Geoff was in the Poi Bowl out of Maliko Gulch. It's a 10 mile downwind race on the North shore. Geoff LOVES to downwind so we were excited to see him compete after MANY hours driving him around to practice.

He did great! He placed 29th overall. The boys were so excited and proud to see him come in. They couldn't even wait for him to come out of the water.

Giggle Hill

Giggle Hill is a gorgeous park in Haiku. Every time we go, I say that we need to go more often. A few weeks ago we met up with some friends for lunch and playtime.

The hill behind the playground is a little boys haven!
