Soldier Hollow

Today I took the boys sledding at Soldier Hollow. Despite a few rain showers on the way there, it was a great day. The rain made the snow a little slower than usual, but there was no one there, which was awesome. We had to pretend Crew was 3 so he could go. He was definitely old enough and mature enough. He only went down with me once, the rest of the time he had to go by himself or with his brothers!

He, of course, wanted to do everything himself, which made for a rather long day!

A little help from big brother was sometimes necessary!

But he had a blast!

We all did!

Happy Hearts Day!

Happy Valentines Day to all my boys! We went simple for gifts this year but the best gift gift of all was having my mom here so Geoff and I could spend some time alone!

Some things never change...

An excerpt from my Autobiography, written at age 11.

"The Person I Most Admire"

"The person I admire the most is my sister, Alison. She's very nice and always helps me when I need help. She's always there when I need to talk to someone. When I come home from school she sometimes has a cup of hot chocolate waiting for me. Alison is more than just a good sister, she's a great friend. We enjoy riding our bikes, walking to the store, dancing, watching movies, and going to Great America. Alison is a great dancer and gets good grades. I want to be just like her when I grow-up."

Some things never change...

She is still the person I admire most...

and now for many, many more reasons!

A quote taken from Kierstin...

"Loved you once,
Love you still,
Always have,
Always will!"

My Baby Turns 2!

My baby is a baby no more!

Sadly, he is already 2 and living up to all the stereotypes.

He is officially a toddler and officially "terrible"!

I'd actually say he has skipped right past the toddler stage and moved right onto the daredevil, climb-everything, jump-off-everything, give-his-mommy-daily-heart-failure stage. That child is 2 going on 6. He is my most independent, strong willed child by far. I just love watching him explore his world and experience life because he tries EVERYTHING! He is crazy and tries so hard to keep up with his big brothers.

As for being "terrible", the temper tantrums have started, along with the pushing, scratching, and biting. On one hand, he is such a mommas boy, always needed cuddles and to sit on my lap, on the other hand, he is a little terror who totally beats up other kids. He is SO territorial and lets no one get away with anything. He will put you in your place if you even look like you might be getting close to something of his. Oh my little stinker! I thought he was outgrowing this, but he definitely proved me wrong tonight!

We, of course had to celebrate his birthday with Elmo. He just adores anything Elmo! We passed out real goldfish (Elmo's pet, Dorothy, is a goldfish) for party invitations. He was so excited handing those out! He was pumped all week for his party and then today kept telling me "NO Melmo Party"! But he got excited again by tonight.
He loved going crazy with all his little buddies. He is much better with Hayes and Olivia now, but Bella, Max, and Sela all got some whoppings tonight. Oops! Sorry guys!

He loved the scarf dancing!
King of the party! Just the way he likes it!

Oh he just LOVES Elmo!

All in all, I know we are in for a crazy year with this little firecracker, but I wouldn't change him for anything. He is so much fun, so smart, so adventurous, so mature, so loving, so full of life. As independent and sassy as he can be, we'll still keep him! I do not know where he gets his attitude from? (Oh, have I ever mentioned that I got kicked out of 7 preschools?)

Happy Birthday, Crewser Bruiser! We sure do love you!
