The Holiday

We saw the cutest movie last night called, The Holiday. If you haven't seen it yet, go rent it. It has a great cast, too. That's all for now. My kids gave me their cold!

2 Months Old!

My sweet baby boy just went in for his 2 month check. I don't know who cried more during his shots, him or me! Here are some of his milestones:

12.5 pounds - 70%
24.2 inches long - 95%
Smiles at us everyday
Starting to be able to find me in the room and track me with his eyes
LOVES the bath
Sleeps 4 hours straight most nights
Tries to "talk" to us
Holds his head up very well and moves it from side to side

Crew has brought our family so much joy. I just love him to pieces and could waste my whole day kissing and loving on him. Geoff comes to see him straight away as soon as he gets home from work and Crew "tells" him about his day. And Chase and Caden absolutely love to hold him and play with him. Aren't babies just a pure joy and love in our lives?

Scouts!

OK - so Caden and Olivia aren't even in Scouts, but it was the only cute picture of the night. All of my other pics had terrible red eye. Chase and Boston both got weather belt loops. Way to go boys! Look out Al Roker! It was also my first time braving a pack meeting with all three boys. Shannon's babysitter, Laci, also came. I think it was too chaotic for her though. She was out of there as soon as Boston finished the closing prayer!

LoLo - Growing Up!

Lolo is so cute! Here she is on her first day of school, and she isn't even three yet! Kids grow up way too fast. Love the sunglasses, Lolo! You look so cool!

Basketball Junkies

My boys love basketball! Right now, they are really into basketball clothes. Chris Paul is Chase's favorite player and we finally found the whole Chris Paul outfit, so he is pumped. I also special ordered him a Monte Ellis jersey from Golden State. It should be here this week. For those of you who don't know him, Monte Ellis was drafted out of high school a year and a half ago so he is totally young. He looks like a little kid on the court and he rips. I found a New York jersey for Caden online so he was pretty stoked on that and I got him a Micheal Jordan outfit. Caden still thinks Micheal Jordan is the best because he loves the movie Space Jam. I don't have the heart to tell him that MJ is like 50 now! Oh well, he is a legend. I think the best to ever play the game!

Poor Crew!

My poor baby has his first cold! It was only a matter of time before it happened since Chase and Caden have been sick ever since he was born! Crew's eyes are swollen and he sneezes all the time. He wouldn't let me put him down last night because he would get so congested. So I slept with him on my chest the whole night. I know he's spoiled but he is my last baby! Gorgeous Day!

What a gorgeous day! It is so nice to be outside again. Crew took a nap in his swing while Chase and Caden went swimming, played soccer, and golf! Even Peanut came out of his cage for some fresh air (he is in the picture with Geoff and Crew). Kelli, you know you miss Peanut! Shannon and Boston came over for a bit to join in on the fun. What a great day. I hope the weather stays nice. I can't wait for summer!

A Day Off School

I took the boys to Color Me Mine today for their fun day off school. Everything was going well at first. I had just fed Crew a full 8 ounces and he fell asleep on the way there, so I knew he would be out for a while so I could just concentrate on helping the kids. After much deliberation, Boston chose a pencil box, Caden chose a baseball box, and Chase chose a cereal bowl. I got them all set up with their paints and everyone was doing great. Then Chase decided he wanted the Hornets logo on his bowl and needed help with it. He was unimpressed with my first attempt at a hornet so he had the girl that worked there pull up the picture on the internet and print it for him. So I was busy painting a hornet for Chase and not paying very close attention to Caden and Boston. I thought Boston was drying his pencil box because I saw him go over to the drying table, but really he found one of those boxes where you fill out the forms for a drawing and he had filled out like at least 20 forms. He was pretty smart about it too because he lied about his age on all the forms because the prize was a cell phone and he didn't think they would let him win if they knew he was only 7. Sorry Shannon if you get a bunch of calls from telemarketers! Then Caden spilled blue paint all over his sweatshirt and pants! What a mess! We still had a great time. I can't wait to pick up their projects on Tuesday! A fun day but I am exhausted. I am ready for a nap but Crew is just starting to wake up from his. Oh well!

Happy Birthday, Brent!

Happy Birthday, Brent! We couldn't ask for a better husband for Kierst or a better father for our nieces! You are truly one of the few really good men left in the world. Sorry this post is coming so late but I totally spaced your birthday until just now and I figured it was too late to call. It should have dawned on me earlier that it was your birthday when Kierst said she was cleaning the house and getting ready to go out for dinner. It must have been a special occassion, right? Well, we love you! Hope 33 is a good year for you!

Burgers and Books

Boston is having a sleepover tonight and the kids couldn't be more excited. We went to Fuddruckers for dinner and then to the Young Author's Fair at Ivy Hall. Chase wrote and illustrated his own book titled "Ahoy, Me Hardies" It was a pirate adventure starring Chase, Boston, and Caden. Chase's teacher said she is so pleased with Chase and that he is such a sweet boy. Good job, Buddy! Now the boys are having a slam dunk contest in the basketball room.

Miss Me? Hardly!

Did my boys miss me? Hardly! After 5 days with Grandma Gayle they will be begging me to go on vacation all the time. So Disney on Ice was one of the highlights of their vacation. They also each got a special alone day with Grandma while the other one was at school. Today was Chase's special day with Grandma and they got a manicure and then went to Fuddruckers. Should I be worried? Oh well - needless to say, they had way too much sugar, got way too many presents, and I'm sure broke at least half of our house rules. But they are alive and healthy and had a blast. Thanks Grandma! We love you!

What Happens In Vegas - Stays In Vegas!

There's nothing like exposing your 6 week old child to the foils of Vegas! Ha - Just kidding! For all of you who don't know us very well, the Corona is a joke. Our Cabana came with a fridge full of beer and none of us drink alcohol! So we thought that was pretty funny. Crew was an angel on the trip and spent most of the day looking around and sleeping in the cabana.

Viva Las Vegas!

So Vegas isn't Italy, but it was still a blast! And a much needed break after all of the stress of fighting with the government and trying to get ready for Italy. The weather was perfect and we spent every day lounging in a cabana by the pool. We had a delicious dinner at Okada at the Wynn (I highly recommend it) and lots of fun shopping.
For anyone who needs a little motivation to go on a diet, try spending a few days with Shannon in a bathing suit! Wowza Yowza! She looks fabulous! So no more excuses - I'm going to workout and diet hard core! No more large and in charge - I'm going to claim my old body back!
